Set in the 1960s, the story highlights a Chinese community that was labeled as communist and became victims of violence; they fled and took refuge in a tobacco warehouse in North Sumatra. These locusts were no ordinary insects, but aggressive mutant pests that devoured everything in their path—including humans.
