Trama

The Po Valley as a place of the absurd. An incestuous tangle of architectural layers and construction failures. Palm trees, urban voids and neon palm trees. Swimming pools assembled in five days. Reconstructed neo-Gothic villages. Small villas upon small villas. Clusters of olive trees and decorative excesses. Endless cladding over other materials we’re ashamed of. Applied stone and chickenpox-speckled houses. The outward manifestation of this consumerism is the very same collapse of its flesh-and-blood puppets. Linguistic incongruities and slobbery phone kisses. Words stolen with a tape recorder, in secret. The masquerade of reality as a simulacrum of truth, humans and their artifacts.
