Esther, a compassionate woman in her thirties, has spent years caring for her elderly cousin on a bleak country estate. Esther's quiet life is disrupted by the sudden arrival of Jasper, a charismatic traveler with a murky past. Jasper claims to be the long-lost son and heir who was presumed dead thirty years earlier.
