Biografia
Gareth James Edwards (nato il 13 luglio 1975) è un regista britannico. Si è fatto conoscere per la prima volta con Monsters (2010), un film indipendente in cui ha ricoperto il ruolo di sceneggiatore, regista, direttore della fotografia e artista degli effetti visivi.[1][2] Successivamente ha diretto Godzilla (2014), reboot del franchise di Godzilla della Toho e primo film del MonsterVerse della Legendary, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), primo capitolo della serie antologica Star Wars e prequel immediato di Star Wars: Episodio IV - Una nuova speranza (1977), di recente ha scritto e diretto il film thriller fantascientifico The Creator (2023).
