Adapted by Henrique Zambelli and Rogério Garcia, the telenovela stars Bianca Castanho and Cláudio Lins. Raised by a humble family in the countryside, she grows up unaware of her true identity. When she falls in love with José Armando, the son of a wealthy landowner, their romance is threatened by family secrets, prejudice, social differences, and the revelation of the truth about her origins.
