Biografie
Mark Daniel Ronson (* 4. September 1975) ist ein britisch-amerikanischer DJ, Musikproduzent, Remixer und Songwriter. Er wurde mit acht Grammys ausgezeichnet, darunter als Produzent des Jahres für Amy Winehouses Album „Back to Black“ (2006) sowie zweimal als Aufnahme des Jahres: für ihre Single „Rehab“ (2006) und seine eigene Single „Uptown Funk“ (2014, mit Bruno Mars). Außerdem gewann er einen Oscar für den besten Originalsong, einen Golden Globe und einen weiteren Grammy für das Co-Writing von „Shallow“ (gesungen von Lady Gaga und Bradley Cooper) für den Film „A Star Is Born“ (2018). Ronson fungierte als Hauptproduzent und ausführender Produzent des Soundtracks zum Fantasy-Komödienfilm „Barbie“ aus dem Jahr 2023, für den er auch mehrere Songs komponierte und zusammen mit seinem Produktionspartner Andrew Wyatt schrieb. Der Soundtrack gewann drei Grammy Awards – „What Was I Made For?“ wurde als Song des Jahres und für den besten Song für visuelle Medien ausgezeichnet, während das dazugehörige Album den Grammy für den besten Compilation-Soundtrack für visuelle Medien erhielt – bei elf Nominierungen – sowie einen Oscar für den besten Originalsong bei zwei Nominierungen.
