In 2003, Hatem made his television drama debut as an assistant director on the series "Ahwal", produced by Dubai TV, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of scripted content. His work has earned recognition in multiple festivals, most notably receiving the Best Editor Award at the Middle East International Film Festival (Abu Dhabi, 2009) for the film "Hotel in the City".
