Biografie
Pipat Wattanapanit, professionally known as Xiu, is a Thai screenwriter, producer, and multidisciplinary storyteller working across film, television, documentaries, literature, and music. His creative interests center on human relationships, identity, social structures, and the complex tensions between individuals and the world around them. Beginning his creative journey in literature and narrative development, Xiu later expanded into the film and television industry as a screenwriter and producer. His work encompasses original story development, literary adaptations, screenplay development, and creative production, with a particular emphasis on character-driven storytelling and socially relevant narratives. As a novelist, Xiu has developed a diverse body of work, including Loveless Society, Coldness Town, Sita, and Harmonica Key. His writing explores love, identity, emotional vulnerability, and the evolving nature of human relationships, often crossing genres and challenging conventional narrative expectations. His film and television projects include The White Rabbit, Jeng Boy, and Angsumalin, alongside original series projects combining mystery, psychological suspense, and contemporary relationship drama. Xiu also serves as a producer on A Hundred And One Ways To Star, a documentary series following the journey of Roi Et PB United Football Club. In addition, he works with SUM UP, developing and producing media content that explores contemporary social, cultural, and political issues. Beyond screen and literary storytelling, Xiu pursues music through his creative project QII, extending his artistic expression into songwriting and performance. At the heart of Xiu's creative philosophy is the belief that storytelling should do more than entertain.
