Biographie
Ernst Lubitsch est un réalisateur américain d'origine allemande, également acteur au début de sa carrière, né le 29 janvier 1892 à Berlin, émigré aux États-Unis en 1922, et mort le 30 novembre 1947 à Bel Air (Los Angeles). Réalisateur prolifique, il a tourné plus d'une cinquantaine de films en trente ans. Il a marqué l'histoire du cinéma par ses comédies, avec notamment Sérénade à trois, Ninotchka, Rendez-vous, Jeux dangereux (To Be or Not to Be), Le ciel peut attendre, ou encore La Huitième Femme de Barbe-Bleue.
