Two-time Locarno alumnus Gabriel Böhmer makes films. They are handcrafted. From torn paper, and threadbare cloth, and rusty things Gabriel found in a garden. They are about thoughts that arrive uninvited; like moths in a coat. He likes moths. Filtered through dry, melancholic, humour. They frame life through the absurd. His films have qualified for the Academy Awards and the European Film Awards. He is from Zurich. He lives in the UK.
