Biographie
Yórgos Lánthimos est né à Athènes en 1973. Il étudie à l'école de cinéma de Stavrakos et après son diplôme démarre sa carrière à partir des années 1990. Il collabore avec une compagnie de danse grecque pour laquelle il réalise une série de vidéos. Il se lance ensuite dans la réalisation de publicités, de courts-métrages et de clips. Yórgos Lánthimos reçoit la première distinction de sa carrière en 2009 avec son troisième long-métrage Canine en remportant le prix Un certain regard au festival de Cannes.
