Biographie
Takayuki Hirao est un réalisateur et animateur né en 1979 au Japon. Diplômé de l’Osaka Designer’s College, il rejoint en 1999 le studio Madhouse où il travaille aux côtés de Satoshi Kon sur Millennium Actress en tant que directeur de production et sur sa série Paranoia Agent. Après avoir réalisé plusieurs séries d’animation, il se lance dans le long-métrage au sein du studio Ufotable avec The Garden of Sinners (2008). Il réalise également des épisodes de L’Attaque des Titans (2017) et Spy x Family (2022), grands succès d’animation. Pompo The Cinephile est son quatrième long métrage et le premier à sortir en France.
